All of our artwork is priced based on how long Michele Sobel Fine Art anticipates it will take to complete your project. Factors taken into consideration include the size and style of your bag or accessory and the complexity of the design. A deposit is required to secure your spot in the project queue and the balance is do prior to beginning work on your project. Cash, Venmo, Check and Credit Cards are accepted as payment.

I use professional leather paints to prepare, paint and seal your artwork. The paint is specifically manufactured for leather artisans, such as Michele Sobel Fine Art, and should not crack, peel, or rubber off with proper care. Instead, the paint will age naturally with your leather goods. If you need to clean your item, please only rub GENTLY with water, and gentle soap, if needed, in the areas where the bag is painted. Your meticulously painted and sealed piece will be water-resistant, however, please treat your hand painted canvas with care, and avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, such as hand sanitizer and sunscreen. While the artwork process is meant to last for years and years to come, it is up to you to take care of your painted accessories.

When you are ready to commit to your project, please fill out my order form and I will add you to the queue. Turnaround can be anywhere from 1-3 weeks, once I begin your project. Depending where you are in my queue, I will give you an update on estimated completion date when I will begin your project.

Michele Sobel Fine Art does NOT sell any bags and is not affiliated with any brands or logos you may see on this website. Rather, Michele Sobel Fine Art paints on her clients own goods, using them as a canvas, and returns them when the project is complete.

The only small leather goods we are proud to sell is the Royce New York line of luxury leather goods, from wallets, to journals, to keychains to travel accessories. When I am ready to begin your project, I will work directly with you to come up with the design. I will either provide you with a sketch, or mockup, depending on the type of artwork I will be painting. You will be able to approve the sketch or mockup before I ever touch your bag or leather/canvas goods.

Buyer is responsible for shipping both ways. You may request UPS or USPS Priority to ship your goods. Insurance is optional, but highly recommended. Michele Sobel Fine Art is not responsible for any delays, damage or loss caused by the shipping carrier.

Due to the custom nature of the hand painting service, no returns or refunds are accepted. By hiring Michele Sobel Fine Art to paint your piece, you are giving the artist permission to make permanent changes to the bag. If for some reason your artwork gets damaged and needs repair, that can be done for a fee.

If you need to clean your bag, please only rub GENTLY with water, and gentle soap, if needed, in the areas where the piece is painted. Your meticulously painted and sealed bag will be water-resistant, however, please treat your hand painted canvas with care, and avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, such as hand sanitizer and sunscreen. Store your bags and items flat, in a dustbag or clean place when not in use.
